Felted Scarf Class

Felted scarf class at City Quilter. What a surprise, one of the participants is a fellow Saori weaver. We plan to weave together, possibly next week. The class was water felting with a twist using a special paper backing to hold roving and other additions, then the scarf is soaked, rolled and the roll is put into a tube sock. The sock is then run through a dryer for about 15 minutes followed by a soaking in boiling water to remove paper and then hung up to dry. My scarf has several wabi sabi elements totally unplanned. In fact my entire scarf was done with no plan. What fun and a wonderful way to spend a Friday afternoon! The class was fun and the group chatted almost non stop.
